Challacombe is a small village on the West side of the moor on the B3358 between Simonsbath and Blackmoor Gate.
The village has one Inn - the Black Venus, and one stores.  There is a lovely small church about 1 mile SW of the village which can be reached by a footpath which passes through ancient woodland and unspoilt meadows.  		challacombe.gif (27225 bytes)

Self catering		 A detached converted barn situated on a large hill farm right in the National Park.
Swincombe Mill is full of character and is one of only a few properties on Exmoor to receive an ETC 5* rating. The pretty village of Challacombe is only a short walk away and guests can walk directly from the front door onto the moors. 
The barn was renovated and converted in 2005 to the highest standards.
